Paul Allsop

Our diverse, comfortable, safe and welcoming practice offers an environment where my client and I can work together, forming a relationship that facilitates openness and honesty, allowing the client the space and safety to express themselves freely in a non-judgemental and confidential space.

Using an approach of psychotherapy known as Transactional Analysis (TA) as a basis for understanding behavior, my aim is to help and support the client, offering different perspectives to help explore their past and present experiences so that they may strengthen themselves, enabling them to live the life that they choose. At its heart it is a theory that allows the understanding why we are the way we are.

Supporting the client as they explore and come to understand the experiences which have shaped their lives. Together we identify underlying influences and negative patterns of behavior that they wish to change and assist them in finding positive ways to move forward and help you explore their concerns.

I am fully committed to providing my clients with the highest quality professional service within a safe, calm and comfortable environment. I believe that my welcoming style is warm, caring, supportive and accepting. Through active listening, curiosity, empathy and respect, I endeavor to give my client the space to express themselves freely.

Working together, to move forward in the direction of what’s important in your life, examining what’s getting in your way and looking at how thoughts and feelings may be taking you away from having a rich fulfilling life.
I offer both long and short term therapy to suit my clients’ needs, allowing for the individual requirements of each client to fully meet. The number of sessions required varies from person to person and can be anything from a few weeks to help them through a specific event to several years. Working together to move you in the direction of what’s important in your life.
