Paul Allsop

Our diverse, comfortable, safe and welcoming practice offers an environment where you and I can work together, forming a relationship that facilitates openness and honesty, whilst allowing you the space and safety to express yourself freely in a non-judgemental and confidential place.

Using an approach of psychotherapy known as Transactional Analysis (TA) as a basis for understanding behavior, my aim is to help and support you, offering different perspectives to help explore your past and present experiences so that you may strengthen yourself, enabling you to live the life that you choose. At the heart of this therapy it is a theory that allows the understanding of why we are the way we are.

Supporting you as you explore and come to understand the experiences which have shaped your life, together we’ll identify underlying influences and negative patterns of behaviour that you wish to change.  I’ll help and guide you to find the positive path to move forward and help you explore and understand your concerns.

I am fully committed to providing you with the highest quality professional service within a safe, calm and comfortable environment. My style is warm, caring, supportive and accepting. Through active listening, curiosity, empathy and respect, I will endeavour to give you the space to express yourself freely.

We work together, to move towards what’s important in your life, examining what’s getting in your way and will examine the thoughts and feelings that may be taking you away from leading a rich and fulfilling life.

I offer long and short-term therapy to suit the needs of each client, allowing for your individual requirements to be fully met. The number of sessions required varies from person to person and can be anything from a few weeks to help you through a specific event to several years.

Sessions are usually weekly but can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
